Bruce Festival 2026 – Venue, Times & Main Attractions

Pittencrieff Park comes alive for a full weekend of history, music and family fun as Dunfermline celebrates its royal heritage in style.

With free entry across the festival grounds, visitors can explore living‑history displays, enjoy spectacular arena shows, discover local groups in the Community Arena and soak up the atmosphere of one of Scotland’s most popular outdoor events.

Whether you’re here for the battles, the big wheel, the music or a great day out with the kids, the Bruce Festival promises a vibrant, unforgettable experience in the heart of the Glen.

Entry: Free (concerts in the music marquee are ticketed)

Launch & Procession

A formal opening parade from the Louise Carnegie Gates to the main arena, led by the Royal British Legion Pipes & Drums.

Music Marquee

A brand‑new marquee hosting major Scottish music acts.
Concerts are ticketed; the festival itself is free.

Arena Battles & Medieval Action

Jousting knights, mock battles, stone‑lifting, and living‑history characters including Robert the Bruce, Saint Margaret, Andrew Carnegie, and Malcolm Canmore.

Kids Zone & Family Fun

Funfair rides, play activities, and the School for Squires teaching agility, strength, and horsemanship.

Big Wheel & Park Attractions

A towering big wheel at the park’s highest point with sweeping views across Pittencrieff Park and the city.

Community Arenas

Local groups showcase their work, meet visitors, and welcome new members and volunteers.
